Want to do more or thinking about what you can do…

• Telling Others – already word of mouth has caused some from leftfield to join our team and offer a particular service or idea that suits a specific need.
  
  
• Corporate Fundraiser - We are going to follow up our wonderful night fundraisers with some corporate lunches, golf days etc.  In the meantime, we invite our corporates to book tables and sponsor our night events - Melbourne - cocktail party on 5 June 2010. We have also scheduled a wonderful corporate golf day for 28 May 2010 for all our corporate supporters in Sydney at St Michael Golf Club at Little Bay - Click here and scroll for details for both events.  We are all ears for ideas and support.  Start thinking and talking at your work of booking a table or a team and contact us with any ideas to help and organise our functions -   Would love some lifestyle auction items for the golf i.e. weekend away, dinners, holidays etc.
  
  
• School Education – We have now established a CA Schools Programme to provide our children with a deeper understanding and empathy for children living in poverty. CA school projects will allow the students to directly effect change and see the results. They will develop friendships with CA kids through drawings, letters, and VOIP communication. The Programme will be educationally based, providing the students with a tangible opportunity to learn of foreign cultures, art, music, language, wildlife and geography. • Corporate Sponsorship/Donations/Matching – others are organising their companies to sponsor/donate, through funds and/or services. Some are arranging workplace giving through pretax payroll deductions. This allows them to help others at the same time as paying less tax. Some are even getting their companies to match their donations.  All options have tax benefits. • Volunteering Time/Service - Volunteering Time/Service - some are kindly assisting us with events and onground work in Africa. However, we need more – both here and abroad. For example, at home, if you have time to assist with collecting auction items for our Fundraisers, please contact cath@committeeassist.org  - Cath would love some extra hands.   Abroad, we have 2 on-the-ground volunteer programmes in Tanzania - our Supporter Programme for short term volunteers (1-3 weeks) and our long term Volunteer Programme (3+ months). Out short term Supporter Programmes run twice per year, during January and May. • Committee Assist Cup – on 19 November 2006, one group arranged over 40 people to attend  a cricket match which has now been labelled the Committee Assist Cup.  It is held each year to raise funds for Committee Assist.. A raffle, sausage sizzle etc were features of the event.  This is held each year.
  
  
• Dinner Party – some of our friends have expressed an interest in holding a dinner party or wine trivia tasting night for their circle of friends, playing our DVD to the group which helps explain us and our work, and asking for a donation which they will donate to Committee assist.  See the great party that Beachworth Studios, Mari Pizzinga and Barzura Restaurant, Rodney Sen had this year where they raised awareness and sought support from clients, friends and family. • Committee Cycling - another friend is organising a 3 day weekend cycle. Riders will be sponsored and corporate sponsorship is needed.
