Things You Need to Know

The ’base itinerary’ pricing requires a minimum 10 adults travelling together on the same flights (departing Australia on 26 December) and on the Mt Kiliminjaro Climb.

It includes:

- Return airfares from Sydney Australia right through to Kiliminjaro Airport in Tanzania using a combination of Kenyan/Qantas Airways and subsidiaries

- All current taxes/fuel and airport levies etc applicable on the above airfares

- Travel insurance (with $200 excess per claim - for everyone up to 60 years of age and with no pre-existing conditions - otherwise a surcharge applies) appropriate for Africa for the duration of the base trip (if you already have an annual policy which provides adequate cover a reduction in the package price will be arranged)

- Accommodation throughout on a twin share basis (accommodation on the trek is primarily in camping, but your tent is set up for you)

- Ground transport to suit the group itinerary throughout

- 3 meals per day while on the Mt Kiliminjaro trekking portion

- Guiding throughout the trek

- Breakfast daily while staying at the accommodation in Moshi (3 nights in total)

Variation 1 is once again based on a minimum often adults travelling together on the safari and on the same flights.

It includes:

- All accommodation (based on twin share). In the Serengeti where we have 2 nights we are using high standard mobile accommodation (Nasikia Mobile Camp) to allow the best opportunity to try and see and follow the incredible wildebeest migration which if luck is with us, can be viewed at this time of year. We stayat the Migunga Forest Camp at Lake Manyara and the Rhino Lodge near Ngorongoro Crater.

- 3 fabulous National Parks and loads of wildlife viewing opportunities

- All meals throughout

- All ground transport required by the group itinerary, including to Kiliminjaro Airport at the end to connect with your flights home

- Driver/guide throughout

- National Park entrance fees
- 2 game viewing safaris each day

- Additional travel insurance required to cover the extended duration of your overall trip

Variation 2 does not require a minimum number of passengers.

It includes:

- Airfares, taxes and fuel levies from Kiliminjaro to Zanzibar and from Zanzibar back to Nairobi to connect with the flights back to Sydney . No Minimum number of passengers but the airfare will depend on availability at the time of booking

- Accommodation (twin share) in historic Stone Town (Tembe House) for 1 night including breakfast and lunch

- Accommodation (twin share) for 3 nights at the Zanzibar Retreat along the legendary east coast, including breakfast and dinner

- All ground transport required by the itinerary, including airport transfers

- Additional travel insurance required to cover the extended duration of your overall trip

Prices are in Australian dollars and based on availability at the time of booking. We may need to review pricing should there be any major fluctuations in exchange rates or airfares/taxes, but should this need arise, deposited passengers will be given a 7 day opportunity to pay in full and avoid any such increase.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking(need to book by 10/9/2009). Should the minimum passenger numbers not be met, an alternative price structure will be offered. If not acceptable the deposit will be refunded. This is the only condition upon which the deposit will be refundable.

Final payment will be due 75 days prior to departure. From that point all monies are non-refundable. Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in additional charges and/or cancellation.

Payment is by bank transfer or cheque. Credit cards will be accepted but merchant fees of 2% (Mastercard/Visa) and 3.6% (American Express/Diners) will apply.

Visas are not included (required for Tanzania). Information and assistance will be provided re visas once confirmed on the trip.

Tipping of guides and drivers is not compulsory but is expected if the service is good. Guidelines can be provided if required.

You are responsible for any medical preparation necessities. All participants should ask their GP or a travellers vaccination service for the most current advice on what preparation they need and what medications they should take, as the situation can change.

You will need an Australian passport with at least 6 months validity at the time of your return to Australia and a few blank pages for the immigration people in Africa. If you are a non-Australian passport holder, we will need to know your nationality so we can advise any specific visa requirements.
